Pit type furnace is cyclical operation furnace and its structure is cylindrical furnace body, which has depth more than 10 meters in view of meeting the requirements of workpieces with different length. One part of furnace body is usually installed by the operator 300 mm above ground level and the other part under the ground. Furnace mouth of pit type furnace is designed to be on furnace top. Looking downwards, it looks like a well, thus being called pit type furnace. Workpieces are vertically put into the furnace with special crane for heating. It is applicable to heat treatment for rod-type and long axis type accessories. |
